Certified Translations

When do translations need to be certified?

In France, certified translations are most commonly required when government agencies and administrations request that documents such as birth, marriage and death certificates, driving licences, diplomas, etc. be translated into French and stamped by an “expert” translator who’s affiliated with a French Court.

The sworn translators in our team work with scans and high quality photos of documents, so you can simply upload a copy of the document that you would like us to translate via our website. If you need certified translations for a citizenship application, we may need to stamp the original documents to prove that we’ve seen them (this depends on the specific requirements of your local Prefecture). Please head over to the Frequently Asked Questions section on the Contact Us page for more info.

Here’s how our certified translation service works:

  • Select a document type

Click on the type of document that you would like us to translate.

  • Upload a file

Upload the document that you would like us to translate, choose the turnaround time (standard or fast track), select the number of hard copies you require and add it to your cart.

  • Checkout

Pay for your translation(s). You can pay by card, PayPal, or bank transfer.

  • Receive your translation(s)

You will receive your translation(s) in PDF format as soon as it is/they are ready, as well as a hard copy/hard copies a couple of days later.
